Well that was quite a break! I didn’t expect to take, what, a seven month hiatus there but life happened and it’s all good. Anyone still come around? How have you been?

This has been around for a little bit now and I can only put up with the first minute or so, but it’s pretty funny nonetheless:

The infamous episode of Everyday Italian where Giada makes cranberry granita is on. Every time I see this episode (which has been about three times in the last week - what’s up, Food Network?) I can’t help but think of TVGasm’s screencap rundown. Brilliant.

In probably the best move Food Network has made all year, Zane Lamprey is getting a show! Have Fork, Will Travel premieres September 4 at 10:30pm.

“Zane tries to broaden his American sensibilities as he encounters a world of strange foods and customs. Whether he’s eating an entire Moroccan meal with his fingers or learning not to look directly at a Korean elder during dinner, Zane will engage in local etiquette and traditions, or even sing and dance, with often hilarious results.”

When we had cable we eagerly anticipated new episodes of “Three Sheets” each week. When we kicked cable for satellite we found that we no longer got it and have been in the deepest despair about it since. This will at least help ease our pain.

The commenters over at Foodie Obsessed are also speculating on the obvious absence of Amy’s husband on the final episode and from any mention of him in her subsequent TV appearances.

One person, who claims to know Amy and her family, states that Amy’s husband was against her even going to compete in the first place, that he thinks she’s shallow and can’t understand why she’d want a TV show when they don’t even have a TV in the house. Said commenter also said Gregg, Amy’s husband, needs the love of a woman who will stay true to him. I agree with a later commenter who says it sounds like she’d like to be the one to give it to him. Goodness.

I seem to be alone in my opinion of thinking Giada’s photoshoot for Esquire is… gross.

I actually like Giada a lot, I think she’s very talented, beautiful, smart, etc. But I just can’t get behind whoever thought it was a good idea to have a woman dressed in white taking part in what, frankly, looks like a bloodbath.

That poor dress, what’d it ever do to her?
